Position Description
The Wang lab at Duke University has an opportunity for a qualified Associate in Research candidate interested in answering fundamental questions that lie at the interface of organic synthesis and chemical biology. The candidate will develop small-molecule based imaging probes and methods to understand genes and pathways of importance to the treatment of cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. Towards this end, the candidate will exploit an interdisciplinary approach that integrates the principles of organic synthesis, medicinal chemistry, molecular labeling, assay development, molecular and cell biology through our studies in the synthesis and study of novel imaging tools and bioactive probes. This is a short-term position, available for five months. A bachelor’s degree is required. Interested applicants should describe their areas of interest and submit a CV, including a list of publications and the contact information for three references.
