Associate Adjunct in Criminal Justice

The Department of Criminal Justice at the University of Indianapolis invites applications for an Associate Adjunct in Criminal Justice position. This is a part-time, 9-month, non-tenure track faculty position to begin August 2026. The position is renewable and includes benefits.
The successful candidate will teach courses in corrections and juvenile delinquency.

This position is not sponsorship eligible at this time. 

Qualifications: 

Master’s degree and significant professional experience in corrections or a related field. Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching college.

REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


Experience: 

Professional experience in corrections or a related field

Education:  

Master’s in a relevant field.

  • Teach courses such as Introduction to Criminal Justice, Trends in Corrections, Juvenile Delinquency, and related topics appropriate to the candidate’s expertise in traditional and hybrid formats
  • Advise students

  • Provide service to the department and university
  • Demonstrate respectful, ethical, responsible behavior.
  • Abide by the University’s policies, procedures, and rules.
