General Description / Primary Purpose:

This is work assisting with the management of custodial services.

Job Function:

  • Supervises the custodial crew supervisors.

  • Approves time submittals, ensures all custodial staff are trained in accordance with the Association of Physical Plant Administrators (APPA) cleaning standards and Blood Borne Pathogen guidelines.

  • This position is designated as a Tier 2 respondent for campus emergencies. If there is a declared emergency, the position incumbent will make every effort to return to campus when directed.

Supplementary responsibilities.

  • Responsible for building inspections

  • Maintains custodial supply inventory

  • Maintenance of custodial equipment

  • Work order submittals

  • Coordinate with other departments as needed.

Supervision Exercised:

Supervision of 4 Custodial Supervisors

Supervision Received:

General supervision. The incumbent develops procedures for performing a variety of complex duties within established guidelines; has considerable freedom while the work is in process, and receives instructions on new assignments.

 

Required Qualifications

High school diploma and 4+ years of relevant experience. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.
