Position Summary
The Department of Pharmacy Practice invites full-time faculty candidates for Assistant or Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice within the Feik School of Pharmacy. This is a 12-month tenure-track faculty position responsible for teaching social administrative science courses in the didactic curriculum. This is an excellent opportunity to be involved in the continued success of the Feik School of Pharmacy that is teaching-focused, research-compatible, concerned about the personal growth of its faculty, and committed to the University’s mission of providing education and health for all persons.

Essential Functions
  • Participate in curriculum development and advancement of the respective program.
  • Prepare and deliver consistent, interactive didactic course lectures which align with curriculum goals.
  • Work collaboratively with departmental faculty to ensure curriculum outcomes and accreditation standards are met.
  • Prepare and administer timely and meaningful exams, projects, and assessments for assigned courses.
  • Precept research projects, as needed.
  • Advise and mentor students; provide individual assistance to students during weekly office hours.
  • Adhere to UIW Faculty Handbook policies and processes including timely record keeping of student activities, fair and equitable evaluation of student performance, and timely feedback to students regarding their performance in the course.
  • Conduct respectful relationships with faculty, staff, and students both in and outside the classroom.
  • Perform regular scholarly research and publication.
  • Provide service to the respective department, college, university, community, and profession.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    • Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.
    Required Education
    • PhD in a Social Administrative Sciences or translational sciences field, OR
    • PharmD with 15 credit hours in a social administrative science field, OR
    • Equivalent experience.
    • Note that PhD candidates with expected completion by date of assignment will be considered.
    Required Work Experience
    • Assistant Level-no experience required.
    • Associate Level-significant experience.
    Preferred Qualifications
    Experience as a teaching assistant or faculty member in a School of Pharmacy; additional consideration will be given to candidates with a pharmacy background.

    N/A.
    Work Hours
    Typical Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm with occasional extended hours/weekends to meet departmental or learning community needs.

    Typical for faculty in this discipline.
