Artist - Development Office

The Student Artist is responsible for creating custom, hand-painted artwork to be presented as commemorative gifts for outgoing board members. This role honors leadership and service through meaningful, personalized artwork that reflects the individual's impact and legacy.

• Meet with project coordinator to understand vision, theme, and timeline
• Research or gather reference photos and background information on board members
• Develop concept sketches for approval prior to final painting
• Create original, high-quality painted artwork (canvas, framed piece, or selected medium)
• Incorporate meaningful elements (symbols, campus imagery, milestones, quotes, etc.)
• Ensure artwork is completed on schedule for presentation events
• Prepare artwork for framing, packaging, and formal gift presentation

• Current student with demonstrated painting skills
• Strong portfolio showcasing painting and portrait work
• Ability to capture likeness and personality through visual art
• Attention to detail and professionalism
• Ability to meet firm deadlines
• Strong communication skills for concept collaboration

• This is a commission hire role. The department would like to hire one student to paint five pieces at $150 per piece.
