The University System of Georgia (USG) is comprised of 26 higher education institutions as well as the University System Office (USO). Within the USO, our administrative operations are primarily housed in the Trinity Washington Building located in downtown Atlanta. Our Information Technology Services (ITS) division is located in Athens. The University System of Georgia Shared Services Center (SSC) is located in Sandersville. The Georgia Public Library System is located in Atlanta. The Georgia Archives is located in Morrow. The State of Georgia Records Center is located in Austell.
This position is located at our Atlanta office at 270 Washington Street SW, Atlanta, GA 30334. There will occasionally be the need to travel to our Athens office or other locations.
Join our team to help design, build, and support critical business applications that streamline operations across the University System of Georgia. In this role, you will automate manual processes, collaborate with customers to translate requirements into workflows, rules, and forms, and leverage the Decisions low-code/no-code platform to create scalable, maintainable solutions that deliver value quickly.

Translate business requirements from customers into functional application designs, workflows, forms, data structures, and business rules within the Decisions platform.
Design, develop, test, and deploy new business process applications using low-code/no-code tools, emphasizing reliability, maintainability, and reusability.
Support and maintain existing applications, including triaging issues, troubleshooting defects, and implementing enhancements and small features.
Manage data integrations between the Decisions platform and other systems (e.g., via REST/SOAP APIs, flat files, and scheduled jobs), including authentication, data mapping, and error handling.
Act as a subject matter expert for the platform, partnering with customers and team members; provide training, office hours, and user support to promote adoption and best practices.
Develop and maintain technical documentation (solution designs, runbooks, data dictionaries) and end-user materials (how-to guides, quick reference, release notes).
Collaborate with stakeholders on process discovery and optimization, including current-state mapping, gap analysis, and future-state design.
Partner with information security and data stewards to apply appropriate controls, permissions, and data-handling practices.
Participate in lightweight agile practices (backlog refinement, sprint planning, demos) and contribute to continuous improvement of standards, patterns, and reusable components.

- Bachelor's degree
- At least one year of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
Three years directly related work experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
Experience with a low-code/no-code or Business Process Management (BPM) platform, such as Decisions (flows, rules, forms, data structures, and integrations).
Experience with business process mapping or workflow diagramming (e.g., BPMN, swimlanes, SIPOC).
Experience with API integration (REST, SOAP), including authentication patterns (e.g., OAuth, API keys) and error/retry strategies.
Experience with web development frameworks or CMS platforms (e.g., Terminalfour, ExpressionEngine) and responsive design.
Experience in higher education or similarly complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
The salary for this position is $59,666 - $67,955, commensurate with experience.
Demonstrated experience in application development or business systems analysis.
Strong analytical and logical thinking skills, with the ability to deconstruct complex problems and business processes into steps, rules, and data flows.
Solid understanding of database concepts (tables, keys, relationships, normalization) and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server).
Fundamental knowledge of programming concepts (variables, conditionals, logic flow, loops, functions).
Basic understanding of web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and principles.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including facilitation of requirements sessions with non-technical customers and the ability to explain technical solutions in plain language.
Proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and develop into a self-sufficient subject matter expert on assigned platforms and solutions.
Knowledge of state and federal web compliance standards and regulations - especially accessibility and inclusive design considerations in user-facing forms and portals.
Knowledge of Board of Regents and department policies and procedures.
