Position Summary
The ARS will be an integral part of the Admissions process for the MD and MD/PhD programs at WashU Medicine. ARS ensure that every application we receive undergoes initial review according to our program’s guidelines. ARS have two primary responsibilities: reviewing application files and evaluating these files using a rubric.
This is a remote position with a flexible schedule, with ARS expected to work 12-16 hours per week (excluding holidays) from June through December and expected to review on average 8 applications per hour.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Attend training sessions in June and early July, and be available to review applications from July through December (August, September, and October are the busiest months).
Assess applications for completeness. Flag incomplete files so that problems can be resolved.
Evaluate application files of prospective first-year medical students using a mission-aligned process and rubric approved by the COA.
Maintain confidentiality at all times. The contents of an application must not be discussed with any person other than Admissions leadership.
Work independently and efficiently, following required timelines.
