Clinical Professor: Candidates for this faculty rank shall be qualified for the rank of associate professor and, in addition, be a recognized national or international authority or an outstanding teacher in their field or specialization. A candidate for this rank must have a distinguished record of achievement beyond the associate professor level.

Job Description:

The Department of Pharmacotherapy and Translational Research and the UF Health Cancer Institute (UFHCI) invite applications for a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure track position at the rank of Clinical Assistant, Associate or Professor. The successful candidate will have an academic appointment in the College of Pharmacy and be responsible for teaching; service to the College of Pharmacy, the Cancer Institute, and the pharmacy profession; and engage in research and scholarly activity. The position will have a negotiable level of clinical pharmacy practice.

The selected candidate will serve as the Assistant Director of the Experimental Therapeutics Group in the Cancer Institute and as a collaborating co-investigator on all early phase Cancer Institute Investigator-initiated trials. Leadership responsibilities will also include voting membership in the Scientific Review and Monitoring Committee and the UFHCI Senior Leadership Council. The Cancer Institute is an NCI-designated center with more than 350 researchers and clinicians and a research portfolio exceeding $50M in annual grant funding. Thus, in addition to a strong clinical oncology background, the individual should have strong research skills and a commitment to clinical research growth to contribute to the research mission of the Cancer Institute and college. The candidate is expected to advance research in the Center Institute and collaborate with other cancer center faculty members to ensure optimal translational research correlatives are embedded in Investigator-initiated trials.

UF Health Shands Hospital provides diverse and comprehensive patient care services including critical care, hematology/oncology, pediatric, neurosurgical, cardiovascular and general medicine services.  Inpatient oncology services include Adult Medical Oncology, Inpatient and Outpatient BMT/Leukemia Service, and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology/BMT. Required Qualifications:

A doctoral degree (e.g. Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D), formal post-doctoral training (e.g. fellowship, residency) or education (PhD) in oncology and an academic record suitable for appointment as a clinical assistant, associate or full professor. Eligibility for Florida licensure is required. Excellent teaching and communication skills are essential. Criminal Background Check Required.

Preferred:

Strong oncology pharmacology training, experience in precision oncology (including trial selection and treatment plan management), leadership skills, and a record of sustained accomplishments in research, clinical practice, and teaching are preferred.
