Postdoctoral Research Associate

We are looking for an enthusiastic economist to join our team of interdisciplinary researchers focusing on how to reduce economic inactivity in the UK. The Postdoctoral Research Associate will be an integral member of the team to deliver LEAF (the Liverpool Economic Activity Framework), a £1.2 million grant from UKRI. The project brings together stakeholders from academia, local government, and the community from across the Liverpool City Region to address the root causes of high levels of worklessness in many communities. The project aims to combine insights from economics, public health, and public policy to better design interventions to reduce economic inactivity.

Reporting to Professor Ian Burn, Chair in Applied Microeconomics, in the University of Liverpool Management School, the PDRA will collaborate with researchers across the University, including the Institute of Population Health and the Heseltine Institute for Public Policy and Place.

This post is full - time and fixed term until 31 December 2027.

If you are still awaiting your PhD to be awarded you will be appointed at Grade 6, spine point 30.  Upon written confirmation that you have been awarded your PhD, your salary will be increased to Grade 7, spine point 31.
