Are you enthusiastic about exploring the fascinating interplay between chemical and mechanical stimuli in drug release applications? We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Researcher on a short-term project to develop a custom technique known as rheodialysis for instrumentation involving controlled release applications. You will work towards automating and integrating the rheodialysis technique with spectroscopy devices using Netzsch¿ rheometers and proprietary software so that it can easily utilised by Netzsch customers for quantifying controlled release in any industry or academic laboratory.
You will work towards an impactful methodology publication and will construct rheodialysis devices to be shared with Netzsch¿s customer base for further testing. Due to the short-term nature of the role, prior experience in working with rheodialysis technique is an essential requirement.
The position will be hosted in the Department of Materials, Design and Manufacturing Engineering at the University of Liverpool and you will work closely with colleagues across all three institutions, playing a central role in leading, devising and conducting original experiments. Overall, this role offers a stimulating, multidisciplinary and collaborative environment where you can make significant contributions to the fields of biological materials, rheology and biophysics while nurturing your own academic and leadership capabilities.
The post is fixed term and available for 3 months.
If you are still awaiting your PhD to be awarded you will be appointed at Grade 6, spine point 30. Upon written confirmation that you have been awarded your PhD, your salary will be increased to Grade 7, spine point 31.
