The role

We are seeking a junior bioinformatics technician to support the deconvolution of drug screening data and the analysis of cell cycle progression across heterogeneous cell populations. The candidate will work closely with a postdoctoral researcher, contributing to data analysis pipelines under their guidance and supporting the overall progress of the project.

About the lab

Our laboratory investigates how metabolism and chromatin regulation intersect to shape cellular identity and disease, with a particular focus on cancer biology. We combine molecular biology, imaging, genomics, and computational approaches to address fundamental questions in genome regulation. The lab fosters a collaborative and interdisciplinary environment where trainees and researchers work closely across expertise areas. Whom would we like to hire?

We are seeking a motivated junior-level technician with a strong interest in image-based and drug screening data analysis applied to cell cycle control.

Professional experience

Must have

  • 0–3 years of research experience, preferably involving tissue/cellular image analysis
  • Experience working with R and Python for data analysis and image processing
  • Familiarity with image analysis tools (e.g., ImageJ/Fiji, CellProfiler, or similar platforms) is desirable

Education and training

  • Master’s degree in bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Data Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a closely related field (required)

Languages

  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken)

Competences

  • Highly developed organizational skills
  • Strong collaborative skills, proactive attitude, and eagerness to learn and develop new technical expertise

The Offer – Working Conditions

  • Contract duration: Temporary contract from May to July 2026.
  • Estimated annual gross salary: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and consistent with our pay scales
  • Target start date: Beginning of May 2026
