We are looking for a research staff who will be responsible for study of charge transport in tribovoltaic processes and the electromechanical properties of 2D piezoelectric materials for acoustic wave device applications. The research staff should have a solid background in numerical calculation and simulations of the electron transport in low dimensional semiconductors in School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish a theoretical framework to study the charge generation and transport in tribovoltaic processes using numerical calculation approaches.

  • Establish a theoretical framework to study the electromechanical properties of 2D piezoelectric materials for acoustic wave device applications using numerical calculation approaches.

Job Requirements:

  • PhD qualification degree in numerical calculation and simulations

  • Familiarity with required job scope

  • Good written and oral communication skills

  • Proficiency in hard skills / job-specific abilities acquired through training e.g. specific programming languages, numeric and analytical skill

  • Competent in soft skills / general personality traits e.g. information visualization, interaction design

  • Interpersonal skill (e.g. Ability to work independently / develop solutions under strict timelines, meticulous and eye for details / excellent organizational / time management skills)
