Assistant Director, Learning & Organisation Development

As part of NTU’s Learning & Talent Management team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping NTU’s enterprise‑level people development narrative in support of the NTU2030 vision. This role is about integration, alignment, and strategic enablement — ensuring that our learning, leadership, and talent initiatives collectively build the capabilities and leadership capacity required for long‑term institutional excellence.

While programme management and implementation will form part of the portfolio, the emphasis is on sense‑making, systems design, and strategic advisory to senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Synthesize learning, leadership, and talent initiatives into a coherent NTU2030‑aligned narrative.

  • Act as a thought partner to senior HR leaders and stakeholders, translating institutional strategy into practical L&OD implications.

  • Support the design and refinement of capability frameworks, leadership pathways, and talent pipelines.

  • Develop frameworks and communication materials that articulate the value of people initiatives, enabling consistent messaging across the university.

  • Frame success measures that assess strategic contribution, interpret data and feedback, and provide evidence‑based recommendations for future investment.

Requirements

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business, Organisational Psychology, or a related discipline.

  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in Learning & Organisational Development, HR, consultancy roles with proven ability to integrate or advise on enterprise‑level people initiatives.

  • Strong background in consultancy roles where you have advised organisations on L&D frameworks, capability models, or leadership development strategies.

  • Candidates with prior experience in public sector, universities, and/or roles with Learning & development similarly complex organisations would have an added advantage

  • Deep knowledge of strategic talent, leadership, and capability development.

  • Advanced stakeholder engagement and influencing skills and pragmatic judgement.

  • Skilled at translating analytics and feedback into actionable strategies.
