Offer Description

The research topics and work will be largely related to the project: "Development of a microfluidic system for use in the construction of an NLISA-type bioassay using decorated magnetic nanoparticles." The employee's role will be to participate in work on the synthesis and modification of nanozymes, testing their activity, conjugation with receptors – primarily antibodies, as well as the development of a microfluidic system and optimization of its operation.

Skills/Qualifications

 Candidates are required to have: 

1) Completion of higher education and obtaining a master's degree or equivalent;

2) Possession of a doctoral degree awarded no earlier than 5 years before the competition announcement;

3) Very good command of English;

4) Scientific profile related to a scientific specialization in the field of biotechnology, chemical sciences, or biomedical engineering;

5) Knowledge of immunochemical analyses and bioreceptor immobilization;

6) Ability to design, conduct, and evaluate research experiments;

7) Motivation for experimental work and engineering skills;

8) Significant publication record and experience in research projects;

9) Experience in the synthesis and work with nanomaterials would be an additional asset.


Specific Requirements

 The employee will be involved in research work related to synthesis of nanomaterials, their modification and application in bioanalysis. The employee's tasks will include planning and conducting research, preparing work reports and scientific publications, applying for research funding, and participating in scientific conferences.

 

  • Candidates are required:
    • to have completed higher education with a master’s degree or equivalent
    • a PhD degree obtained (preferably no longer than 5 years ago, preferably in biotechnology, biomedical engineering or chemistry)
  • The person applying for the post should satisfy the requirements set forth in the Law on Higher Education and Science and in § 118-121 of the Warsaw University of Technology Statute.

  • no disciplinary penalty as defined in Article 276 section 1 
    items 7 and 8 of the Law on Higher Education and Science of 20 July 2018 being imposed on them
  • fulfilling the condition specified in Article 209 section10 items 2 or 3 of the Law – if applicable
