Offer Description

[Background of the recruitment and description of the project]
* Background of the recruitment and description of the project
The Institute of Environmental Radioactivity (IER) at Fukushima University was established on July 1, 2013, as a research institute operated in cooperation with domestic and foreign universities and research institutes that have been conducting research in the related fields following the accident at the Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant (FDNPP). IER is dedicated to scientifically elucidating the dynamics and long-term effects of the radioactivity released into the environment by the accident, with the aim of supporting reconstruction and revitalization of Fukushima through research and practical application of the findings. Furthermore, as a research hub located in Fukushima among the network institutes of Joint Usage/Research Center “Environmental Radioactivity Research Network Center”, IER welcomes researchers from around the world to conduct on-site investigations. We also engage in a wide range of research activities on environmental radioactivity including ongoing international collaborative research projects. Through these activities, we aim to disseminate the knowledge of environmental radioactivity across the world.
