Innovation Center of NanoMedicine(iCONM) is a leading research facility that will serve as the nucleus for the formation of a center for the life science field at the King SkyFront, and the Kawasaki Institute of Industrial Promotion began operating the facility in April 2015, utilizing government policies as the operator and proposer. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and experimental equipment capable of conducting R&D from organic synthesis and microfabrication to preclinical testing in a single step, it is a very unique research facility, unparalleled in the world, designed to promote open innovation through industry-academia-government and medical-industry collaboration.

Job Description
Our laboratory is advancing preclinical research to develop next-generation therapeutics for intractable diseases, leveraging nanoparticle-based drug delivery systems (DDS). The research assistant will support the following activities:
•Characterization of nanoparticle-based DDS (e.g., size, stability, loading/encapsulation)
•Husbandry and maintenance of transgenic mouse lines
•In vitro and in vivo efficacy studies using cultured cells and tumor-bearing mouse models
•Support for preclinical proof-of-concept (POC) studies and groundwork for clinical translation
Depending on your experience, you may also have opportunities to engage broadly in organic/polymer synthesis, nanoparticle evaluation, and biological experiments (scope will be adjusted based on skills).
