We are seeking a professor position to strengthen and develop probability theory, an important academic field in mathematics education and research at Kumamoto University, both in terms of theory and application. Probability theory is a major field of mathematics, and with recent developments in mathematics, data science, and AI, its basic content is becoming an essential mathematical foundation in other fields of science, as well as in economics and engineering. A probability theory expert is essential to further advance our university's mathematics and data science education and research. By recruiting widely in probability-related fields in mathematics, including young and female researchers, we aim to attract an excellent probability theory specialist who has outstanding mathematical research results and is actively engaged in research activities.

You will be responsible for specialized education in the Faculty of Science, liberal arts education, and mathematics-related courses in the Graduate School of Natural Sciences, as well as research guidance in the Graduate School of Natural Sciences, particularly probability theory and courses related to probability theory.You will also play a central role in promoting mathematics and data science education, including teaching subjects in the Mathematics, Data Science, and AI Education Program (applied basic level) in the Faculty of Science.In addition to research and education, you will also be involved in the management and administration of the university.
