Offer Description

The logistics sector is facing increasing challenges that are making warehouses ever more central and complex elements of the supply chains, such as higher service level requirements (including shorter lead times and increasingly fragmented and customized orders) and the growing difficulty in recruiting human capital.
In this context, companies are transforming their logistics processes by adopting the wide range of available warehouse automation solutions, with a significant impact on supply chain performance from multiple perspectives, including sustainability, resilience, and reconfigurability.
This research program aims at contributing both to academic research and to companies. Through a variety of approaches combining qualitative and quantitative methods, the research seeks to provide new empirical evidence and tools supporting the synchronization of logistics flows and the redesign of logistics systems and management policies.
