Post Summary
The School of Psychology seeks to appoint an Assistant Professor in Psychology. Applications are sought from candidates who have experience of teaching in psychology at undergraduate and postgraduate level. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver teaching on the undergraduate programme in Psychology and to contribute teaching to other postgraduate programmes in the School, to provide supervision to both undergraduate and taught postgraduate students, and to contribute to the international profile of research in psychology in the School of Psychology.
Post status: Specific Purpose Contract
The purpose of this post is to support the School in managing and consolidating current student numbers on the MSc Applied Psychology programme and to assess the sustainability of this level of intake. Employment is not offered on an indefinite duration basis as this post is established for the specific purpose of supporting programme delivery at the current level and enabling the School to assess the sustainability of student demand and associated resourcing requirements. Employment will terminate on completion of this specific purpose.
Salary: Appointment will be made on Assistant Professor Salary Scale (109) commensurate with qualifications / experience and in line with Public Sector Pay Policy (€43,425 - €103,582 per annum) https://www.tcd.ie/hr/assets/pdf/monthly-academic.pdf
