Duties

The appointees will assist the project leader in the research project - “The development and pilot randomized controlled trial of Chinese Medicine lifestyle intervention on insomnia”.  They will be required to:

(a) conduct systematic search and review of the literature;

(b) assist in the general coordination/management of the project;

(c) assist in the recruitment of participants and various aspects of data collection;

(d) liaise with participants and staff to facilitate study progression and management of the project; and

(e) perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his/her delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants for the Research Associate or Project Associate post should have a master’s degree in Chinese Medicine, Sciences, Psychology, Social Sciences, Arts or other health-care related disciplines or a good honours degree in one of the said disciplines with at least three years of research/relevant work experience.  They should also have some experience in conducting research.

Applicants for the Research Assistant or Project Assistant post should have an honours degree in one of the above-mentioned disciplines or an equivalent qualification.

Applicants should also have: 

(a) good computer literacy including MS Excel and Chinese word processing;

(b) a good command of written English; and

(c) good interpersonal and communication skills.

Preference will be given to those with research experience.

Conditions of Service

For full-time appointments, a highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.

For part-time appointments, the remuneration rates are HK$181 per hour for the post of Research Associate or Project Associate and HK$125 per hour for the post of Research Assistant or Project Assistant.
