(1) Project Associate
[Appointment period: seven months]

(2) Part-time Project Associate (two posts)
[Appointment period: each for seven months]

(3) Part-time Project Assistant (two posts)
[Appointment period: each for seven months]

Duties

The appointees will assist the project leader in the project - “Understanding learning difficulties”.  They will be required to:

(a)    coordinate service-learning activities for students;

(b)    assist in service-learning sessions and provide logistic support;

(c)    assist in research related and administrative activities; and

(d)    perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or his delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants for the Project Associate post should have a master’s degree in Psychology, Education, Counselling or other social sciences related disciplines or a good honours degree in one of the above-mentioned disciplines with three or more years of research/relevant work experience. 

Applicants for the Project Assistant post should have an honours degree in one of the above-mentioned disciplines.

Applicants should also have:

(a)    experience in working with children and youth with special educational needs;

(b)    a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;

(c)    good computer literacy and knowledge of online teaching and learning applications; and

(d)    good interpersonal and organisational skills.

Conditions of Service

For full-time appointment, a highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.

For part-time appointments, the remuneration rates are HK$178 per hour for the post of Project Associate and HK$125 per hour for the post of Project Assistant.
