Dortmund’ (legal entity name) is a research institution institutionally funded by the German Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. It is the sponsor of ’Leibniz Research Centre for Working Environment and Human Factors in Dortmund’ (IfADo). IfADo explores the risks and potentials of modern work in interdisciplinary approaches. We combine the disciplines of Ergonomics, Immunology, Toxicology, Psychology and Neurosciences.

In the Department of Ergonomics we offer

Postdoctoral Researcher (m/f/d) in Cognitive Psychology / Neuroscience (100 %)

to be filled as soon as possible. The position is limited to 3 years and can be extended for another 3 years.

The position offers the opportunity to work on an innovative research project exploring the neurocognitive principles underlying working memory and its interaction with episodic long-term memory. The core responsibilities involve designing and conducting psychological experiments, with a strong focus on the collection, analysis, and interpretation of neuroimaging data using EEG, fMRI, and combined EEG–fMRI techniques.

 Your Qualifications:

• PhD in Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience, or a closely related field
• Demonstrated research achievements in basic and/or applied questions in cognitive neuroscience, evidenced by peer-reviewed publications
• Excellent command of English
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or R
• Demonstrated methodological expertise in advanced EEG and/or fMRI methods, evidenced by corresponding publications
