Offer Description
PUBLIC CALL
for the selection to the following positions:
Research Associate, scientific field of social sciences, scientific discipline psychology – 1 position, permanent employment, full-time
Professional Advisor in the system of science and higher education (project support) – 1 position, full-time permanent employment with a probation period of six (6) months
Position under item 1 of the Public Call
Along with a written and personally signed application, applicants must meet the conditions prescribed by the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity and submit:
- curriculum vitae,
- proof of the acquired academic degree of Doctor of Science (applicants who obtained their higher education qualification abroad must submit a decision on the recognition/evaluation of a foreign higher education qualification issued by the Agency for Science and Higher Education or proof of a submitted request),
- proof of meeting the requirements in accordance with the Ordinance on Conditions for Election to Scientific Titles,
- proof of meeting the requirements in accordance with the Ordinance on Additional Conditions for Election and Re-election to scientific, associate and professional positions of the Institute,
- electronic record or certificate containing data recorded in the database of the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute,
- proof of citizenship,
- certificate issued by the competent court confirming that no criminal proceedings are being conducted against the applicant (not older than 6 months).
Preference will be given to applicants with experience in research work in the field of work and organizational psychology and/or participation in competitive scientific research projects.
Position under item 2 of the Public Call
In addition to the general conditions prescribed by law, candidates must meet the following specific requirements:
- completed undergraduate and graduate university study or integrated undergraduate and graduate university study in a scientific field and discipline in accordance with the core activity of the Institute,
- five years of work experience in research within the Institute’s field of activity, and
- at least ten published professional papers or two scientific papers.
Preference will be given to applicants with experience in the preparation, application, and implementation of scientific research projects.

Along with a written and personally signed application, applicants must also submit:
- curriculum vitae in Europass format (including full name, residential address, email address, and contact phone/mobile number),
- motivation letter,
- proof of citizenship,
- diploma,
- proof of total years of service (electronic record of data recorded in the database of the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute or a certificate issued by the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute),
- proof of foreign language proficiency,
- certificate issued by the competent court confirming that no criminal proceedings are being conducted against the applicant, not older than 6 months.
If necessary, after the shortlisting procedure for candidates applying to the position under item 2, an interview will be conducted. Candidates will be informed in a timely manner about the time and place of the interview via email.
Right of priority in employment
Applicants who, in their application, invoke the right of priority in employment pursuant to special regulations must refer to this right in the application and submit proof of the recognized status from which such right is evident. The right of priority in employment is exercised exclusively under equal conditions.
Applicants invoking the right of priority in employment in accordance with the Act on Croatian Homeland War Veterans and Members of Their Families and the Act on Civilian Victims of the Homeland War must, along with their application, submit all prescribed documentation available on the website: https://branitelji.gov.hr/zaposljavanje-843/843 and shall have priority over other candidates only under equal conditions.
Other notes
Documents are to be submitted as uncertified copies and in the Croatian language.
A person for whom legal obstacles exist cannot be employed.
Both male and female applicants may apply, in accordance with the Gender Equality Act.
A complete application is considered to be one that contains all data and attachments specified in the public call.
Incomplete and late applications will not be considered.
By submitting an application to the public call, candidates consent to the Institute collecting, processing, and using their personal data for the purpose of conducting the selection procedure, in accordance with applicable data protection regulations.
Applications must be submitted within 30 days from the last publication of the public call.
