APPLICATION

  for selection

One employee for the scientific-teaching position of associate professor in the scientific field of Social Sciences, scientific field of economics for an indefinite period of time in full-time.

Criteria (Competition) for selection for the position:

All candidates for the Competition must meet the general conditions prescribed by the Labour Law ("Narodne novine" no. 93/14, 127/17, 98/19, 151/22, and 64/23).

Candidates under, in addition to the criteria prescribed by Article 39 paragraphs 1 and 3 and Article 119 paragraph 6 of the Higher Education and Scientific Activity Act ("Narodne novine " 119/22), are required to meet the criteria prescribed by Article 123 paragraphs 1 and 2 and Article 200 of the Statute of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, Article 50 paragraphs 1 and 2 of the Statute of the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, Faculty of Tourism and Rural Development in Požega, the Ordinance on conditions for election to the scientific title ("Narodne novine" 28/17, 72/19, 21/21, and 111/22), the Decision of the Rector's Board on the necessary conditions for evaluation of teaching and scientific-professional activity in the election procedure for scientific-teaching titles ("Narodne novine" no. 122/17), the Decision of the Rector's Board on the form and method of conducting the inaugural lecture for election to scientific-teaching, artistic-teaching and teaching titles ("Narodne novine" 129/05), Articles 9 and 36 of the Ordinance on the implementation of the election/re-election procedure for scientific-teaching, artistic-teaching, teaching, associate, and professional positions at Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek (consolidated text), and additional criteria in accordance with the Decision on additional criteria for the election to scientific-teaching, teaching, and associate positions at the Faculty of Tourism and Rural Development in Požega. Selection procedure for the position:

The selection procedure for the position is prescribed by the provisions of Article 40 of the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity (Official Gazette No. 119/22).

Application submission method:

Candidates shall submit their application using the prescribed Form No. 1 - Application for the election to a scientific-teaching position, available on the Faculty's website.
Foreign candidates must submit proof of Croatian language proficiency (C2 level), and candidates with foreign higher education qualifications must provide proof of recognition of their qualifications.
Under Article 13 of the Gender Equality Act ("Narodne novine" 82/08 and 69/17), persons of both genders can apply under equal conditions.
Only timely and complete applications, signed by the candidate and containing all required information and documents, will be considered. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered. 

Employment preference:

Candidates who, based on special regulations — the Act on Croatian War Veterans and Members of Their Families (Narodne novine 121/17, 98/19, 84/21, 156/23), Article 48 of the Act on Civil War Victims (Narodne novine 84/21), Article 48.f of the Act on Protection of Military and Civil War Invalids (Narodne novine 33/92, 57/92, 77/92, 27/93, 58/93, 2/94, 76/94, 108/95, 108/96, 82/01, 103/03, 148/13, 98/19), Article 9 of the Act on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities (Narodne novine 157/13, 152/14, 39/18, 32/20) are entitled to employment preference, must invoke this right in their application and attach all evidence prescribed by the special regulations to exercise this right. These candidates have priority in employment over other candidates only under equal conditions.
For candidates invoking employment preference under the Act on Croatian War Veterans and Members of Their Families and related acts mentioned above, the list of required documents to exercise this right is available on the Ministry of Croatian Veterans' website at https://branitelji.gov.hr/zaposljavanje-843/843 .
Candidates invoking employment preference pursuant to Article 9 of the Act on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities must also invoke this right in their application and attach all evidence of meeting the required conditions, including proof of disability. Proof of disability is considered a public document, based on which a person can be registered in the register of employed persons with disabilities maintained by the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute.

Applications for the Competition with evidence of meeting the conditions must be submitted within thirty (30) days from the date of publication of the Competition in the "Narodne novine" in electronic form to the address: natjecaji@ftrr.hr , with the note "Application for the competition according to item __".

All candidates will be notified of the Competition results no later than 15 days after its completion. The Faculty of Tourism and Rural Development in Požega reserves the right to notify all applicants via email as well.

By applying for the Competition, the candidate gives consent that all their personal data contained in the application documentation will be collected and processed for the purpose of conducting the Competition in accordance with regulations governing the protection of personal data, especially Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27 2016 on the protection of natural persons about the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation). Candidates are required to submit, along with their application, a completed and signed Consent form for the collection and processing of personal data for the purpose of the Competition, as published on the website of the Faculty of Tourism and Rural Development in Požega.
