The applicants (m/f) for election to the scientific-teaching titles and corresponding employment positions must meet the general requirements laid down in  the Science and Higher Education Act, (Official Gazette No. 119/2022) and special conditions set by the Decision of the Rectors' Conference on the necessary conditions for the evaluation of the educational and professional activity in the election procedure to the scientific-teaching titles (Official Gazette No. 122/17, 120/2021) and the institutional conditions of the Faculty of Health Sciences, published on the Faculty website (http://ozs.unist.hr/hr/o-odjelu/dokumenti/2-opcenito/1441-procedura-i-d… )


Specific Requirements

With the self-signed application, all applicants (m/f) are required to submit the following:
•    CV
•    A copy of the citizenship certificate and identity card, or proof of citizenship of another country, and foreign nationals are required to submit an evidence of knowledge of the Croatian language (C 2- advanced level)
•    A copy of a diploma
•    Candidates who have obtained a higher education degree outside Croatia are required to submit evidence of the degree’s recognition (or of an application for its recognition) issued by the Croatian Agency for Science and Higher Education.
•    Proof of work experience (electronic employment booklet from the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute, a copy of the employment booklet or other appropriate certificate)
•    evidence of meeting the necessary conditions required by the Decision on the necessary conditions for the evaluation of the educational and professional activity in the election procedure to the scientific-educational titles (Official Gazette 122/2017, 120/2021),
•    overview of teaching and scientific activities, a list of scientific and professional papers, and papers relevant to the election or the decision on the previous selection for the scientific-educational title.

•    Both sexes equally have the right to submit applications for the tender. Deadline for applications is 30 days from the date of publication. Applications may be submitted by members of both sexes. 
•    The assistant professor is needed for teaching the following subjects at the Academic Department of Preventive Medicine: Dietetics, Infection Control and Prevention and Diet Therapy.

Selection process

Assessment of the competencies and skills essential for performing the job, as well as the interview, may be carried out for applicants who meet the formal requirements. Participation in the abovementioned tests is mandatory; otherwise, it will be considered that the applicant has withdrawn their application. An individual who has not submitted a timely and complete application or who does not meet the formal requirements of the tender shall not be regarded as a registered candidate. A valid application must include all required data and attachments, submitted in the manner specified in the tender.

The candidates exercising the right of priority in employment are obliged to enclose the proofs on fulfillment of the required conditions for exercising that right. They shall have priority over other candidates under equal conditions only.
