Activities:

This research investigates the use of artificial intelligence in developing data visualization systems for born-digital collections, aiming to expand research fields. It includes the theoretical systematization of database aesthetics and the development of case studies to propose solutions that optimize metadata use. Activities involve database modeling, creation and implementation of functionalities and interactive interfaces, case study development and analysis, and repository management and documentation of technological processes.

Mandatory requirements:

PhD obtained within the last seven years in a field related to the project; availability to start immediately; prior publications related to the project; proven skills in MariaDB Vector, Vue.js 3, Node.js, Python, and JSON; Natural Language Processing (NLP) applied to collections; implementation of data pipelines using AI models, embeddings (RAG), and OCR; demonstrated knowledge in Aesthetics, Art History, Design, and/or Languages and Communication; residence in the state of São Paulo (Brazil).

Desirable requirements:

Hybrid expertise in Social Sciences and Information Technology to support the integration of arts and programming; proven research experience in Digital Design and Digital Humanities and their intersections with the arts; prior experience with digital collections; skills in relational database modeling with vectors and multi-tenant systems; development of interactive data visualization interfaces such as D3.js; knowledge of archival metadata standards; experience in integrating AI systems with collection management.
