In this role, you'll work at the intersection of technology and healthcare, collaborating with developers, business analysts, and clinical teams to ensure that new systems and processes meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and operational efficiency. About the Role

Reporting to the Program Manager (IT Projects), you will be responsible for end-to-end testing activities across a range of healthcare IT solutions. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating closely with MQ Health IT teams, developers, business analysts, and clinical teams to understand business requirements, develop comprehensive test plans, and ensure thorough testing coverage.

  • Designing, reviewing, and executing test cases and scripts based on established test plans, ensuring software and system quality and alignment with business needs.

  • Performing functional, non-functional, integration, and user acceptance testing across various healthcare IT solutions to ensure compliance, operational efficiency, and high-quality standards for patient care.

  • Proactively identifying, documenting, and reporting defects using designated tools including clear steps to reproduce issues and collaborating with developers and stakeholders to drive timely resolution and retesting.

  • Adapting testing approaches in response to evolving project needs, new technologies, or unexpected challenges to ensure project outcomes are delivered within agreed timelines.

  • Documenting and tracking test results, participating in project meetings, and communicating findings including risks and recommendations for improvement to diverse stakeholders with varying levels of technical understanding.

  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies and staying current with emerging tools and technologies in the healthcare IT space.

About You

You are a detail-oriented and adaptable testing professional who brings both technical rigour and excellent communication skills to every project. You're comfortable working with clinical and non-technical stakeholders, and you're energised by the opportunity to ensure healthcare technology delivers real impact.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, and/or equivalent experience.

  • 2–3 years of experience in software testing, preferably in healthcare or a regulated environment.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of testing methodologies, techniques, and tools, including experience with test case design, execution, and documentation.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to identify, analyse, and resolve complex issues in a timely manner.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with diverse team members, clients, and stakeholders.

  • Flexibility in adapting to changing business needs in a busy, fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to adopt new technologies and testing approaches to drive continuous improvement in the testing process.

  • Familiarity with healthcare IT systems and data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) (Desirable)
