- collaborate and teach across disciplines to embed unique collections into impactful teaching and learning experiences
- Base Salary $112,628 + 17% superannuation (pro rata)
About the opportunity
Join the University of Sydney as an Academic Engagement Curator with the Chau Chak Wing Museum’s award winning OBL Program. You will connect museum collections with curriculum to deliver engaging object-based learning experiences.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- work with academic and professional staff, as well as museum colleagues to embed collections into teaching
- design and deliver object-based learning programs and engagement projects
- develop interpretive materials across the diverse collections
- object selection and installation for teaching programs
- build relationships with faculties to support interdisciplinary use of collections
- support curriculum integration, research, and class visits using collections
About you
- tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
- experience delivering educational programs, from concept to teaching, ideally in museums or similar settings
- knowledge of object-based learning and its application
- experience working with academic stakeholders in higher education
- ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
- experience handling diverse collections.
