    The PATHWAY PhD scheme is aimed at Warwick PhD applicants who self-identify as being either Black or of Black heritage. Students can be hosted in any department, and can pursue any topic. Please note that PhD applicants cannot apply directly for this scheme. Eligible candidates should contact the academic department which issued their PhD offer to express their interest in being nominated for this award.

    Eligibility: Nominees must self-identify as being either Black or of Black heritage. Nominees must be current Warwick PhD offer holders and must not already be enrolled on a PhD programme at the University of Warwick. Nominees must receive an offer to start a PhD at the University of Warwick in October 2025 by 2nd May 2025 at the latest.

    Value: The full payment of tuition fees (either Home or Overseas) and a maintenance stipend paid at the prevailing UKRI rate for 3.5 years.
