The research promises to challenge established paradigms and provide fresh insights into enduring questions, making a significant contribution to both scholarly knowledge and broader public awareness.
We welcome applications in all areas of expertise within the School of Culture and Communication, which encompasses disciplines such as American Studies, Classics, Ancient History and Egyptology, English Language, TESOL and Applied Linguistics, English Literature and Creative Writing, History and Heritage, Media, Communication, Journalism and Public Relations, Modern Languages, Translation and Interpreting, and Welsh studies. Interdisciplinary research is highly encouraged, especially in collaboration with our four Faculty interdisciplinary Research Institutes in Culture and Communities, Geopolitical Challenges, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and Public Policy and Practice, as well as our two Faculty Research Networks: Climate Action Research Network (CARN) and the Network for Artificial Intelligence, the Arts, the Digital Economy & Society (NAIADES).
We are seeking candidates who can address key questions, issues, problems, and debates within these fields, offering the potential for significant contributions to knowledge. This includes exploring contemporary challenges, engaging with critical societal and cultural debates, and pushing the boundaries of traditional research paradigms through innovative interdisciplinary approaches.
