Overview

The Centennial Fund Award recognises 1,000 polytechnic and ITE students from disadvantaged backgrounds who demonstrate potential and resilience each year.


Who is eligible

Singapore citizens who:

  • Are enrolled in one of the polytechnics or ITE as a full-time student, and is expected to remain enrolled in the same institution from the point of nomination to April of the following year.
  • Have a monthly gross household income (GHI) ≤ $3,000 or a monthly per-capita income (PCI) ) ≤ $750.
  • Will participate in an internship or industrial attachment in the year of the award. 
  • Demonstrated good conduct and behaviour according to the guidelines of his/her institution, in the academic year preceding the year of the award, and up till the point of award nomination. 

Eligible students will undergo further selection by institutions.

Award amount

$1,000
Awardees will also be connected with a mentor to guide them on their longer-term career and life goals.
