Offer Description
Typology: Research Studentship
Workplan and goals:
1. Develop a research project;
2. Recruit participants to take part in the research project;
3. Perform the experimentation;
4. Process and interpret the data;
5. Write the dissertation;
6. Present the research results at scientific meetings;
7. Promote scientific activities;
8. Report on scientific activities.
The main objective is to submit the masters disseration to be publicly defended and obtain the Master Degree degree in Sports Training. The tasks listed from 1-5 are methodological steps leading to the research that will form the body of the dissertation. Tasks 6-8 are intended to train the scholarship holder for the public defense of the disseration and to familiarize them with scientific activities.
Duration: The scholarship, scheduled to start previously in the march of the 2025, will last for 6 months, without exceeding the end date of the funding. The grant may be renewed.
Workplace: The work will be carried out at CIPER of the Faculty of Human Kinetics, located at Estrada da Costa, 1499-002 Cruz Quebrada, under the scientific supervision of Professor Duarte Araújo.

According to Article 6 of FCT Regulation for Research Studentships and Fellowships (Reg. nr. 950/2019):

a) To be enrolled at a integrated master or a master.
Academic degrees obtained in foreign countries shall be registered by a Portuguese institution, according to the Decree-Law nr. 66/2018, of August, 16th, and the Ordinance nr. 33/2019, of January, 25th. Specific Requirements
At least 6 months of internship in a sport sciences research laboratory.

Benefits
Monthly maintenance allowance: According to the values for Research Fellowships awarded by FCT in Portugal (https://www.fct.pt/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Tabela_valores_SMM_2025.p… ), the amount of the monthly maintenance allowance is € 1,040,98, being Wire Transfer the payment method.
Other benefits: Reimbursement (upon request) of the Volunteer Social Security 1st grade, and provided personal accident insurance.

Selection process
The evaluation will be based on a scale of 0 to 100% and will focus on the assessment of academic and professional experience, taking into account the following percentage weighting:
1. Evaluation of the academic and sporting curriculum (25%)
2. Evaluation of experience in scientific activities (25%);
3. Scientific project in the field of perception-action in a sport (25%);
4. Motivation letter (25%);

Announcement/ notification of the results: All candidates will be notified through the e-mail address indicated in the application of the Final Result of the Evaluation. If the result is unfavourable to the award of the grant requested, the candidates shall have a period of 10 (ten) working days, after the publication referred to in the previous number, to give their opinion, if they so wish, in a prior hearing of interested parties, under the terms set out in the Portuguese Administrative Procedure Code (CPA).
