Research Scholarship (BI) in Engineering and Related Techniques within the scope of the Dropin@IPB 2.0 - Caminhos para a Integração e Sucesso Académico dos Estudantes do Instituto Politécnico de Bragança, PRR015 - Drop-in@IPB 2.0, taking place at Mentoring Academy and Auditorium Eng. Alcinio Miguel of the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, under the following conditions: 

1. Scientific Area: Engineering and Related Techniques;

2. Objectives: 

2.1. Development of multimedia content to support teaching activities; 

2.2. Support for the activities of the Drop-in 2.0 project and the Auditorium, namely those that require video and audio support, including streaming to platforms such as “Youtube” and “Facebook”; 

2.3. Support multimedia and videoconferencing equipment; 

3. Work Plan: The selected candidate will participate in the different tasks of the Drop-in@IPB 2.0 project, with the following tasks:

1. Technical support for mentoring and tutoring activities; 

2. Development of multimedia content; 

3. Support in the development of content for inclusion on the mais.ipb.pt MOOC platform; 

4. Support the activities carried out in the Eng. Alcínio Miguel Auditorium; 

5. Support multimedia and videoconferencing equipment; 

6. Support the carrying out of pedagogical, scientific and cultural activities; 

The selected candidate must collaborate in writing technical reports and scientific publications. 

4. Applicable legislation and regulations: Statute of the Scientific Research Fellow, approved by Law no. 40/2004, of 18 August, as amended; 

Regulation of Research Grants of the FCT, in (https://www.fct.pt/apoios/bolsas/docs/RegulamentoBolsasFCT2019.pdf ); 

Regulation no.522/2020, published in Diário da República, 2nd series, no. 113, of 12 June – Regulation of Research Grants of the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança. 

5. Duration of the fellowship: The scholarship will have a duration of 12 months, starting on 10/03/2025 (without the possibility of renewal).

6. Application deadline: The scholarship offer is open from 03/02/2025 until 14/02/2025

7. Form of submission of applications: Applications must be submitted through the IPB portal: http://concursos.ipb.pt:&nbsp ;

a) Curriculum Vitae, with a description of the activities developed and relevant to the scope of the fellowship; 

b) Certificate of each academic qualification indicating the final classification; 

c) Letter of motivation; d) Other supporting documents considered relevant to the application.

Documents proving the holding of academic degrees or diplomas, or enrollment in an academic degree or diploma, may be waived at the application stage, being replaced by a declaration of honor from the candidate, with the verification of this condition being mandatory in the scholarship contracting phase. Degrees obtained abroad are recognized by a Portuguese higher education institution under the terms of Decree-Law No. 66/2018, of August 16 and Ordinance No. 33/2019, of January 25. e) Have experience in planning and managing scientific and cultural activities; 

f) Experience with audiovisual systems will be valued; g) Mastery of the English language (written and oral communication) will also be valued.

Benefits

The grant amount corresponds to €1.259,64, according to the table of scholarships awardedby the FCT, I.P. in the country.
The grant holder will benefit from a personal accident insurance and, if not covered by anysocial protection scheme, can ensure the exercise of the right to social security by joining thevoluntary social insurance scheme, pursuant to the Code of Contribution Regimes of the SocialSecurity Social Security System. The scholarship amount will be paid monthly by bank transfer.


Eligibility criteria

Selection process

1. Final classification of Academic Qualifications, and quality of the CV and its suitability for the project in question (40%); 

2. Proven knowledge in the scientific area (50%); 

3. Other curriculum elements (10%). If necessary, an interview with the first five classifieds will be held, where the motivation and availability of the candidates to develop the proposed work plan will be evaluated and will have a weight of 25% in the final classification.


Additional comments

Documents proving the ownership of academic degrees or diplomas, or enrollment in an academicdegree or diploma, may be dispensed with during the application stage, being replaced by adeclaration of honor by the candidate, and verification of this condition is mandatory during thegrant contracting stage.
Academic degrees obtained in foreign countries require recognition by a Portuguese Institution inaccordance with Decree-Law No. 66/2018, of August 16th and Ordinance No. 33/2019, of January25th. The presentation of recognition is mandatory for the signing of the contract.
