The Energy Education Trust of New Zealand Undergraduate Scholarship was established to assist students to undertake full-time study in the fields of science, economics or engineering and related fields but with a specific interest in energy as it relates to the energy needs of New Zealand.
Who we're looking for
We're looking for a third or fourth year student with a demonstrated interest in energy issues and a desire to pursue a career in this field.
What you'll be studying
This is an undergraduate scholarship. You will be studying a degree programme that can be related back to the energy needs of New Zealand.
Eligibility criteria
You must:
- be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident
- be in the third or fourth year of your degree
- be studying full time
Application checklist
Include the following with your application:
- a personal statement that briefly (two pages) presents: Evidence of your interest in energy matters related to the needs of NZ, the relevance of your programme of study to this award, your future study and employment plans, and your community involvement.
- an academic transcript for any study completed outside of Massey University
- a referee who is able to comment on your interest in energy issues and your general character. You must ask them to send a confidential reference to scholarships@massey.ac.nz
- a referee who is able to comment on your academic merit. You must ask them to send a confidential reference to scholarships@massey.ac.nz
Selection considerations
When selecting our recipients we will consider your community involvement, interest and experience in energy issues, and academic merit. We will also consider your performance in an interview.
