Offer Description
Being part of the TRANSFORM project (a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network), we are looking for highly motivated candidates for two fully funded PhD positions in transport policy and acceptability of local transition measures at the Frankfurt Lab for Social-Ecological Transformation of Urban Mobility (SET-Mobility), Department of Human Geography, Goethe University Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
Transform ("Urban Mobility Cultures in Transition: Socio-spatial implications of transformative practices") is a Doctoral Network funded by Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions. Transform investigates the efficacy of transformative practices as mechanisms for initiating and consolidating transitions in urban mobility cultures, and analyses the resulting socio-spatial effects.
The Frankfurt Lab for Social-Ecological Transformation of Urban Mobility (SET-Mobility) is dedicated to advancing research on the social-ecological transformation of urban mobility. We adopt a holistic approach to studying how people move through urban spaces, focusing on behavioural change, everyday practices, governance processes, and public discourses. Our goal is to contribute both to the academic debate and to the development of progressive mobility policies and planning practices.
PhD topics:
#10. The acceptability of new policies and social innovations for the transformation of urban transport
