Offer Description
The research group Geometry, Physics, and Probability (GPP) of the Institute for Research in Mathematics and Physics (IRMP) of UCLouvain is offering one PhD research fellowship in the framework of the ERC Research Project “Asymptotic analysis of repulsive point processes and integrable equations”. The research interests of candidates include preferably one or several of the following topics : random matrix theory, integrable differential equations, determinantal point processes, Riemann-Hilbert problems, orthogonal polynomials, special functions. There are no teaching duties associated with these positions.
The duration of the fellowship is 2 years+2 years. The salary lies around 2400-2450 € net monthly. Furthermore, working conditions are flexible and travel funds will be made available to the successful candidate.
