In 2025, UniSQ will offer a number of Study Support Grants to support students commencing or continuing their studies in an undergraduate program.
The Study Support Grant provides financial support for students to navigate the costs of university study. UniSQ students from low-income households are encouraged to apply.
Consideration will be given to applicants from Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander backgrounds, and applicants from a rural town or remote/very remote community within Australia.
Applications for the grant will be open in Trimesters 1, 2 and 3 2025. Students can only receive the grant once in a calendar year.
If you need financial assistance to purchase study resources, you may wish to consider applying for an interest-free Student Financial Loan .
There are a limited number of grants available in 2025.
Value
Each grant will have a maximum value of $3000 to be paid in one instalment.
Eligibility and conditions
Applicants must:
- be a domestic student currently residing in Australia
- be commencing or continuing their studies at UniSQ in an undergraduate program in the study period of application (e.g., Trimester 1 2025)
- continuing students must have a current Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 4.0
- be enrolled in a minimum of one study unit in the study period of application
- meet at least one of the following criteria*:
- have a low-to-middle annual household income; or
- be from a rural town, or remote community within Australia; or
- identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person of Australia.
*Preference will be given to applicants who meet more than one of the above criteria.

- provide evidence of their personal and/or family’s financial circumstances which may include:
- Centrelink Income Support Statement indicating a regular payment; or
- Proof of income (Australian Taxation Office Notice of Assessment for the most recent financial year and payslips covering the most recent two months)
- Concession, Healthcare and Medicare card/s
*If you are financially dependent on your family/guardian, you will need to provide documentation of their income.
If applicable, provide evidence:
- to show you have a permanent address in, or have relocated to study from a large, medium or small rural town, or remote/very remote community within Australia according to the Modified Monash Model 2019 Classification - refer Health Workforce Locator map
- to confirm your identity as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person of Australia.
