To be eligible for this scholarship you must:
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, an Australian permanent resident or a permanent humanitarian visa holder
- identify as a woman
- be enrolling full-time in your second year, in semester 1 and 2 2025, in one of the following programs:
- Bachelor of Environment and Society (BP000)
- Bachelor of Environmental Science (BP192)
- Bachelor of Environmental Science/Bachelor of Environment and Society (BP193)
- Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning (Honours) (BH108)
- Bachelor of Engineering (Environmental Engineering) (Honours) (BH080)
- Bachelor of Engineering (Sustainable Systems Engineering) (Honours) (BH076)
- have a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher at the time of applications closing
- have a sense of contribution towards others and act with integrity, demonstrate diligence and be hardworking
- be available for an interview if shortlisted*

The Gina Solomon Scholarship was created by MRPV in partnership with the Solomon family. The annual scholarship honours the memory and legacy of Gina Solomon, a Senior Planning and Environment Specialist who passed away in 2020. Gina joined VicRoads as a graduate in 2002, and worked on many of MRPV's most important projects, including MRPV’s first Environment Effects Statement for the Mordialloc Freeway Project.
The scholarship aims to support a passionate and dedicated emerging environmental student, with a bursary and the opportunity for relevant work experience. The successful applicant will have met the key selection criteria (KSC), which will be based on Gina’s key professional and personal attributes. These include:
- Diligence and hardworking
- Sense of contribution to others
- Acts with integrity

The Land, Planning and Environment (LP&E) Team’s key focus is to reduce and minimise risk, as well as achieve the best possible land, planning and environmental outcomes for all of our projects. The LP&E Team are involved in projects from development through to delivery and hold strong relationships with important stakeholders, including:
- Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP)
- Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW)
- Environment Protection Authority (EPA) Victoria
- Aboriginal Victoria (AV)
- Registered Aboriginal Parties (RAPs)
- Heritage Victoria (HV)
- Office of the Victorian Government Architect (OVGA)
