BGIS Women in Engineering Scholarship

The BGIS Women in Engineering Scholarship provides:

• $5,000 per year for up to five years
• 10 weeks of paid vacation/WIL work
• participation in a mentoring program at BGIS Melbourne.

Note: This scholarship is considered taxable income under taxation legislation as the recipient is expected to undertake paid work with the donor. We recommend that you obtain taxation advice from an accountant or the Australian Tax Office regarding this scholarship.

To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

• be an Australian citizen, an Australian permanent resident or a permanent humanitarian visa holder
• identify as a woman
• be commencing full-time enrolment in semester 1, 2022 in your first year of a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) program at RMIT in one of the following disciplines:
  • Civil and Infrastructure Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Electrical and Electronic Engineering
• not be committed to another employer (except casual/part-time work) for the duration of the scholarship
• commit to undertake 10 weeks of paid vacation/WIL work at the BGIS Melbourne office
• be prepared to participate in a mentoring program at the BGIS Melbourne office.

Preference will be given to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants.
