Position Information:
The full salary range for the Worker's Compensation and Disability Management Analyst is $66,500.00 - $118,300.00 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $92,400.00 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
The Worker's Compensation and Disability Management Analyst supports both the UCR Workers' Compensation and Disability Management Programs by ensuring the prompt submission of relevant information to the University, UC Third-Party Claims Administrator, and to the UCR Disability Management office. Under general supervision, the Analyst administers UCR's Early Return-To-Work Program for occupational and non-occupational injuries/illnesses according to established policy, regulations, and overall program direction. The Analyst will also assist with UCR's Disability Management program by liaising with staff and faculty who are requesting reasonable accommodations, coordinating program documentation, executing early phases of the Interactive Processes, performing alternative job searches, and other activities as necessary to support the program.
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.

  • Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.

  • Strong analytical skills to conduct analysis and develop recommendations, demonstrating organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong in-depth knowledge of organization policies and procedures; knowledge of functional area and understands how work may impact other areas.
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable state and federal law.
  • In-depth knowledge of all benefit programs in order to provide information and interpretation.
  • Demonstrates strong writing, speaking and group presentation skills in order to
    present information in a clear and concise manner to multiple levels in the organization.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the organization's employee benefits function and programs and can address unique circumstances as well as routine situations.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills.
  • Excellent computer literacy skills, with demonstrated skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of principles, theories, and best practices of worksite health promotion programs, and health promotion/behavior change, risk reduction, workers' compensation and occupational health and safety. Must be current on HIPAA requirements and associated confidentiality issues.
  • Analytical skills to conduct analysis and develop recommendations, demonstrating organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively in teams, and with a diverse population of faculty, staff, community partners and vendors.
    Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated skill and proficiency in assessing employee health, illness and injury status and providing a recommended plan of action. Ability to provide guidance as it relates to education on health and wellness related topics such as nutrition, exercise, weight management, stress management, and tobacco cessation.
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish.
