Job Summary

The Small Animal Primary Care team at the Purdue University Veterinary Hospital is growing! Do you love wellness care and your involvement in keeping pets healthy? Does veterinary dentistry get your heart racing? Do you want to work with exotics species and increase your skills and knowledge of a variety of different pets? Joining the Primary Care team allows you to work with an enthusiastic team focused on wellness, preventive care, dentistry, and exotics in a specialty hospital environment. You'll get to use your skills and knowledge to help shape the next class of veterinary and veterinary nursing students providing in-the-moment guidance and support to veterinary and veterinary nursing students. We are looking for someone with knowledge of preventive care, disease processes, COHAT, anesthesia, a great attitude, and a willingness to learn more.

What We're Looking For:
Education and Experience:

  • Associate's degree from an AVMA accredited Veterinary Technology program
  • Candidates must be registered in Indiana within twelve (12) months

 
Skills Needed:

  • Ability to work under pressure in emergencies
  • Strong oral/written communication skills; ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to handle the physical and emotional aspects of work in a veterinary hospital environment
  • Ability to lift and carry 25-50 pounds frequently and 60 pounds occasionally
