Job Summary

Designs, develops, codes, tests, debugs, implements, and maintains moderately complex application software and/or systems. Prepares detailed specifications and recommendations for software, programs, and test procedures.


Essential Functions 
  • Analyze and evaluate business requirements to design and develop computer systems that meet the needs of the organization
  • Develop, maintain, and update software applications, databases, and other computer systems
  • Design and implement software solutions that improve the performance, reliability, and security of computer systems
  • Write, test, and debug programs and scripts in various programming languages, such as C++, Java, Python, and SQL
  • Collaborate with other IT professionals, such as software engineers, network administrators, and database administrators, to develop and maintain integrated computer systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, such as software defects, system crashes, and network failures
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, including technical specifications, user manuals, and training materials
  • Maintain knowledge of emerging trends and technologies in the field of computer systems and infrastructure management

Physical Effort 

Mobility with regard to possible travel within the United States. May be required to carry a box of material (up to 50 lbs.) from car and/or from building to building or between floors.

Work Arrangement Hybrid: Combination of On-Campus and Remote work as determined by the department.
Hiring Range $45,000-$55,000 TBD based on qualifications
