The Ruby Grant Fine Arts Library serves as the neighborhood library for the Weitzenhoffer Family College of Fine Arts and houses the Media Resource Center special collection.  Student Library Assistants (SLAs) at this library will serve as the first point of contact patrons have with the library.  Students in this position will receive training on library policies and procedures, develop research and information literacy skills, and gain experience with databases and patron services.

Job Duties:

Interacts with the public when working the circulation desk; answers questions relating to various resources and media; checks out, checks in, retrieves, and sorts materials; performs other related duties as assigned.  Must have a flexible schedule to allow working evenings and/or weekends.

Job Requirements

Required Education: Must be enrolled in a combination of two terms as a student in good standing at the University of Oklahoma. Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.
  • Must attach Spring, Summer, and/or Fall Term 2025 OU class schedule. 

Advertised Physical Requirements: 

  • Regular bending, carrying, climbing, and stooping.

Department Preferences:
  • Background in Fine Arts, especially Music or Visual Arts.
