Senior Program Coordinator, Undergraduate Research and Fellowships

Summary
The Senior Program Coordinator for Undergraduate Research and Fellowships coordinates activities and programs designed to promote the engagement and success of undergraduate students in support of a high-quality academic experience. This position coordinates a portfolio of activities within the Office of Undergraduate Research and Fellowships including, but not limited to managing the Summer Research Program and ASPIRE Research Buddy Program, promoting and coordinating the CURE (course-based undergraduate research) program, and the Tulane Undergraduate Research Journal, and performing basic administrative duties for URAF records and correspondence. This position assists in coordinating curricular programming for the Duren Professorship and related initiatives in the Office of College Curriculum and Policy. Other duties include advising students, representing URAF at meetings, and promoting undergraduate research programs.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to interact cooperatively with individuals internal and external to the organization in an effective and courteous manner.
• Excellent organizational skills, the ability to meet established or anticipated deadlines, attentive to details, and able to handle multiple demands simultaneously.
• Working knowledge of various standardized word processing and spreadsheet preparation software applications.
• Ability to use the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Access, etc.).
Required Education and/or Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree with 1 year of directly related experience.
OR
• High School Diploma (or Equivalent) with 5 years of directly related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s Degree in Higher Education or a related field.
• Experience working in a post-secondary educational environment.
Compensation Information
This position is classified as "exempt, salaried" and is assigned to pay grade 24.
