Position Overview
Remote sensing to assess operations and maintenance status of stormwater best management practices. This project will seek to use remote sensing data and machine learning models to classify stormwater infrastructure for inspection and maintenance.
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform remote sensing research, including collection of drone and satellite data, development of machine learning algorithms using geographic information systems software, and development of reports.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
-Requires Master’s degree in a related field or equivalent research experience (preferably in an academic setting); -Must possess strong communication and analytical skills; thorough knowledge of laboratory practices and procedures; -Ability to implement research projects; -Must be willing to work flexible hours as necessary.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in geographic information systems, remote sensing, and python programming.
