Position description
Job requirements
This position is intended for collaborative research working on X chromosome dosage compensation mechanisms in mouse and humans and the role of X-linked gene expression in the placenta. The Plath lab uses cutting-edge stem cell biology, mouse models, gene regulation, imaging, and omics techniques to study these questions.
The preferred qualifications for this position are as follows:
- Ph.D. in Gene Regulation, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Developmental Biology, Stem Cell Biology, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of postdoctoral experience with a strong publication and collaborative record.
- Expertise in X-chromosome dosage compensation.
- Proficiency in molecular biology techniques, including RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing, and advanced imaging.
- Experience in bioinformatics and analyzing single cell and bulk genomics dat.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead independent projects and work collaboratively within a team.
