Position Highlights | A Postdoctoral position is available to a qualified applicant in the laboratory of Dr. Janko Nikolich (formerly Nikolich-Zugich) in the Department of Immunobiology, College of Medicine-Tucson at the University of Arizona. Qualified applicants will provide expertise and perform experiments to define immune mechanisms underlying the development of accelerated immune aging in mice and/or humans, including geriatric syndromes affecting individuals and/or animals living, and aging, with cytomegalovirus and/or with ART-controlled HIV. A competitive candidate will possess demonstrable expertise in at least one of the following areas: cellular immunology, virology (especially prior work with HIV), molecular biology, or biochemistry. Candidates should be amenable to training others to experimentally validate new hypotheses emerging from this laboratory's work. An ideal candidate will possess expertise in cellular immunology and one other of the above areas. For description of laboratory interests and publications, click here .
