A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the lab of Dr. Nagarajan Vaidehi of the Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope. Our laboratory focuses on developing physics-based computational methods to study protein structure, dynamics, and drug design.

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Develop and apply Bayesian Network machine learning methods to analyze the dynamics of G-protein coupled receptors to uncover allosteric regulation that enables design of allosteric modulators.
  • Develop design principles of targeted protein degradation in collaboration with Pharma.
  • Have an opportunity to participate in a multidisciplinary research environment.

Your qualifications should include:

  • A Ph.D. degree in Chemistry or Physics or Biochemistry with experience in protein dynamics studies.
  • Knowledge about concepts in statistical thermodynamics, in python scripting and C++ programming. 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Molecular Dynamics methods and experience in code development.
