The de Jesus Perez Research Group is seeking two highly motivated postdoctoral researchers to join our team. Projects include:
-
Understanding how Wnt signaling influences endothelial responses to hypoxia and shear stress
-
Exploring pericyte-driven immune responses in the lung vasculature
Are you passionate about groundbreaking research in pulmonary vascular diseases? Do you want to be part of a dynamic team at Stanford University, exploring the fundamental mechanisms driving pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH)?
Our laboratory is dedicated to uncovering the genetic and molecular pathways that regulate vascular function in the lung and heart. We investigate how endothelial cells and pericytes interact to shape vascular responses and right ventricular adaptation in PAH. Our work blends classical cell and molecular biology with cutting-edge genomics and proteomics, aiming to identify novel therapeutic targets for PAH.
Required Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will have:
-
A PhD, MD, or MD/PhD in vascular biology or a related field
-
A strong publication record and expertise in vascular biology, endothelial/pericyte biology, or pulmonary research
-
Hands-on experience with small animal handling and surgery, confocal microscopy, and molecular/biochemical assays (e.g., RNA/DNA isolation, qRT-PCR)
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-
The ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment
This is an exceptional opportunity to join a vibrant, translational research team within Stanford’s Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care Medicine. If you are ready to push the boundaries of vascular biology and make a real impact in PAH research, we want to hear from you!
