Summary

Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Center offers a paid summer internship program with learning opportunities within the research labs, administration, and psychosocial services. The program fosters the development of learners who have demonstrated an interest in pediatric hematology/oncology (PHO) or pediatric healthcare.


Job Purpose

Provides temporary administrative or laboratory support to a department while gaining practical work experience.  


Job Duties
  • Supports research studies in the Texas Children's Cancer and Hematology Center Center.
  • Gains general knowledge related to database/inventory management, chart review and sample processing.
  • Understands key concepts related to research projects
  • Applies concepts learned to assist with current research projects.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be enrolled in high school or be a high school graduate (or equivalent secondary education) or enrolled in an institution of higher education. 

Preferred Qualifications
  • General Laboratory Skills.
  • Computer Skills.
  • General Administrative Skills.
